This in-person short course is designed to be interactive, using a collaborative and problem-solving approach. It offers participants the opportunity to engage with real case studies and discuss them with leading experts in the field. Participants are expected to have a basic understanding of AMD processes and issues.

The short course builds on the Introduction to AMD short course, which is available free online through the Sustainable Minerals Institute which serves as a useful foundation and reference for this short course. It will provide participants with the latest updates on all key aspects of Acid and Metalliferous Drainage (AMD), including characterisation, classification, prediction, prevention, control, management, and treatment.
